The objective of this article is to carry out a specific review and analysis regarding the economic valuation studies of ecosystem services. The article makes a compilation of contributions regarding the subject of work, which help us to propose a descriptive document, with the support of secondary information regarding the economic valuation that exists in the field of environmental services. It seeks to demonstrate the relationship between the development of productive activities and the conservation and protection given to natural resources. It is necessary to describe the relationship between the natural resource and the social (communities and / or peoples) and economic (agricultural, livestock, recreational, etc.) activities that obtain benefits from ecosystem services. Once the review was carried out, as one of the conclusions, it was possible to determine the existence of important bibliographic evidence regarding economic valuation, the willingness to pay for the use of ecosystem services and its relationship with environmental policies.
